Granthems + Eurovision 2012 = Awesomeness: Melodi Grand Prix Semi Final 04

Okay, so here we are at the 4^th and Final Semi Final of Melodi Grand Prix 2011. Like I had assumed, the top 2 Scoring 5^th Place songs from the previous 3 Semi Finals were given Wild Cards to this round. They were –

SF 01 – Jobbe Litt Mindre Og Tjene Litt Mer (Work a little less and earn a little more) – Gata Parlament (BOOOOO!)

SF 02 – I’ll Be Yours – Pernille And Marius (YAY!)

The last 2 Finalists will be chosen in 2 Rounds. In the First Round, the 8 Songs will be divided into 4 “Matches”. In each Match, a Televote will chose the song, who will advance to the Second Round. In the Second Round, the 4 Songs will again be divided into 2 “Matches”, with a Televote chosing the song from each Match, who will advance to the Final.

So, let’s get started.

01 – Daisy – Use Me – Eh, this song is okay but it’s also just kinda lame.

02 – I’ll Be Yours – Pernille And Marius – Ugh. So Good. Winner. For Sure.

01 – Alt Du Vil Ha (Everything You Want) – Sie Gubba – Eh. Boring. Gross.

02 – Allergic – Mimi Blix – Brilliant! Awesome!

My Prediction – Allergic To The Second Round!

Match 03 –

01 – Jobbe Litt – Gatas Parlament – Vomit.

02 – Fire Below – The Lucky Bullets – Decent! Ok! Not Bad!

My Prediction – Fire Below To The Second Chance Round!

Actual Result – Fire Below To The Second Chance Round! ( FINALLY!!!)

Match 04 –

01 – Oh Oh (Puppy Love) – Endre – Awww so cute! Love! Great!

02 – Nothing Remains – Susperia – Ugh. Bleck. Gross. But I have a sneaking suspicion that since it’s the only “Non ESC” song, it might sneak into the final, where it will be quickly squashed.

My Prediction – Oh Oh (Puppy Love) To The Second Chance Round!

Actual Result – Nothing Remains To The Second Chance Round. (DANGER! DANGER NORWAY!)

My Prediction – Daisy (I Guess) To The Final!

Actual Result – Alt Du Vil Ha To The Final. (Gross)

Match 06 –

01 – Fire Below – The Lucky Bullets

02 – Nothing Remains – Susperia

My Prediction – Torn. I want/need “Fire Below” to go through , but I have a really bad feeling about “Nothing Remains”. Let’s give them the benefit of the Doubt and say that since “Fire Below” beat it in the 3^rd SF, it’ll beat it now. “Fire Below To the Final!

Overall, they picked badly almost the whole way through. That God above that they’ve already got “You’re Like A Melody” And “Haba Haba” in the final. NORWAY! Pick one of THOSE Songs.
