The Maltese entrant was selected through 2 Televised shows. First, the 24 Songs were presented in a Semi Final on 02/11, with a Televote (1/3) and an "Expert" Jury (2/3) choosing the 16 Finalists. In the Final, on 02/12, a Televote (1/3) and an "Expert" Jury (2/3) chose the winner. The Songs highlighted were selected to advance to the Final.

I know from experience that anytime i encounter a grouping of more then 12 Songs (8 Songs is just my perfect number thank you Melodifestivalen), So i used a different selection process.
I divided the 24 Songs into 3 Semi Finals. In each Semi Final, i awarded Televotes based on what felt right. The top 3 Songs advanced to the Final. The 4th and 5th Place songs advanced to a 4th Semi Final, where they were joined by 2 Wild Cards, to compete for the last 3 Spots in the Final.

In the Final, I chose my winner in 2 Rounds of Voting. In the First Round, an "Expert" Jury consisting of Myself (2/5) and 3 of my Best Online ESC friends (3/5), an "Arists" Jury (Myself after listening to all 16 songs 3 times), an "SMS" Vote (Me listening to the songs on repeat and taking songs out when they bored me and converting that into points) and a Double Weight "Televote" (Me after viewing the videos on Youtube) chose the top 4 Songs.

Oh Malta...so close to getting it right. The winning song is pretty decent, but waaaaay to cheezy to be at all important to me. Plus the singer is totes creepy. Catch 22 and No Surrender would have been MUCH better choices! I mean, i know Catch 22 takes a minute or so to love, but No Surrender would def have brought Malta back to the Final and maybe top 10'd. Oh well, at least they didn't send ANOTHER stupid ballad.
From my first listen up until now, there have been some songs i've grown to love and some songs i've just kinda got over. I'll Never Know went from being my initial 2nd to 4th...and over time it'll probs drop a few more places. Love To Love you has really grown on me. Even i'm a bit surprised that Catch 22 beat No Surrender (my favorite from the beginning) but ah, c'est la vie!
